Rolex Joins the Line-Up

The world’s most iconic watch brand is making its return to KwaZulu-Natal, choosing Umhlanga Arch as the home of its new store. The fit-out is underway, with an official launch expected towards the end of the year. In joining global names like the Hilton Garden Inn and BMW, Rolex strengthens a line-up that proves the Arch’s appeal as a destination where world-class brands thrive in a high-tech, future-ready environment. For fellow anchor tenants, this feels like a perfectly aligned fit and another sign that the Arch is a place where professional, exceptional, and sought-after operators thrive together.

Dining and Lifestyle & Celebrations

Prodigal Son, a Mediterranean kitchen and cocktail bar led by local entrepreneurs, has fast become a favourite for food lovers and cocktail enthusiasts. Blending authentic flavours with Durban’s multicultural energy, it’s already the go-to venue for birthdays, baby showers, and even intimate wedding receptions.

And speaking of celebrations, one of the Arch’s most heart-warming moments this year was a marriage proposal that’s now been viewed more than 69,000 times on YouTube. A special moment for the couple, and a reminder of the memories this space continues to create.

Business Growth & Investment

Remax, one of the Arch’s first commercial tenants, has made a big move. Originally based in the Glass Arch, they’ve now purchased new premises and relocated their office to the High Street, a move that increases visibility and reflects strong confidence in the Arch as a long-term investment.

Lights, Camera, Action

Umhlanga Arch has also caught the attention of Netflix. The cast and crew of Blood Legacy filmed scenes for Season 2 across the High Street, restaurants, and even inside the Arch’s commercial spaces. With a crew of 80 on site, it was another reminder of the Arch’s appeal as a vibrant, versatile location.

These are just a few of the stories shaping Umhlanga Arch right now. Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more about the global brands, pioneering entrepreneurs, and milestone moments that continue to position the Arch as a premium destination built for the future.
